This one is a first-draft
if you have remarks or ideas, please put them in the discussion page

As we currently are remodeling the space, this is the opportunity to clean/sort projects and items.

The idea that raised was something like having an item ranking and sorting system:

racks

These are the big metal perforated racks with light on them

layout
name description
project rack (right one, close to the desks) holds active projects and useful complete cables
stuff rack (left one, close to fixed cabinet #4) holds prospect projects, and useful parts
lounge rack used as whiteboard holder

small cabinets

layout
name description
left workshop cabinet (white) MSP boards, DECT stuff
right workshop cabinet (gray) components, pwnage stickers, paper, plastic and zip tight bags
stacked metal cabinets crafting tools
wooden cabinet bar material (cups, milk, sugar, etc.)

fixed big cabinets

layout from left to right
name description
1 (near the bar) contains 19" material
2 various network cables
3 'library' cabinet: contains books
4 (behind the door) contains workshop tools

boxes and shelves

Warning
stuff has been moved, so your project/stuff might have ended up in a box you don't expect. Please have a visit and judge you project/stuff so that it in the right box/shelf. Also, the boxes still need so be sorted and labeled correctly, so everything you see is subject to change ;)
layout ordered by importance, descending
name description
project shelf Place for really active projects. There is not a lot room, so stale projects might get degraded to the prospect box.
prospect project/useful stuff box this box is filled with stuff that someone can use to extend/complete one's project. Apply the watchdog principle here.
dubious/fubar stuff box this is the final rest place of items that are marked for deletion. Make sure your precious stuff doesn't end up here!
trash can this is the backup last place to rescue your gear/project. After this, there is no way back!
