@Wolkje: I took the liberty to format the extra/upcoming dates so that they are registered as an event date: this makes Widget:Calendar work (this is especially powerful to have them listed to the Hackerspace_ACKspace:Current_events calendar overview page.
To be honest, I still have to look at the coloring, but for now: all events (now and in the future) will be listed, just by drawing a calendar which matches the date of an event.
