Use this template to mark a page featured, so it will be displayed on the front page. To make an article featured, add the following to the top of that page:
<noinclude>{{featured}}</noinclude>
including the noinclude tag, so the Main Page will not recursively include itself.
After you add the tag at the top of the page, the page will be added to the front page and the following banner will appear inside the article:
Featured article
Featured had been flagged as a featured article and will automatically appear on the Main Page.
