Short description: | Modding the Xbox360 for fun and..... |
I bought an xbox360 from Vicarious. Because I don't want to use my -ahum- original copies I would like to run backups on this console. I have no idea yet what to do but if you have knowledge or would like to help out, feel free to do so.
We almost messed up the xbox by soldering some stuff which wasn't needed. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU , a case of RTFM. We knocked of a SMD resistor, but we managed to measure it to be 100 Ohm and made a dirty fix to replace it's function. Also we messed up the solderplatforms so now we have a challenge probing the drive. It can still be done with a small copper wire (I'm talking the width of a single strain of copper wire from a flexible UTP cable) by putting it in the hole near the solderpoint. We only need to attach 1 string to get the key.
