Synopsis
We have a few 3D printers in the space that really need to be configured. We have one working printer right now (one of two Prusa i3's), the following printers still need to be configured to work with the 3D print computer:
- Prusa i3 (Vicarious)
- Micro 3D
Status
Roelke invested a lot of time and approximately €100.- to get to the point where we are now. We have one working printer right now (one of two Prusa i3's), the following printers still need to be configured to work with the 3D print computer: - Prusa i3 (Vicarious) - Micro 3D
Ubuntu, Repetier Host and OpenSCAD has been installed on the (open) lab-pc and the settings have been tuned and the board has been calibrated. Everyone has access to the computer, however if admin credentials are needed please contact Da Syntax or stuiterveer (The Windows install was open and unrestricted, which caused a bloated system because of people installing other stuff on the computer as well while it's a computer meant for the 3D printers and the CNC).
We currently have 1,75mm orange filament and we have light blue and black(?) filament (and a little bit of red for Vicarious' flashlight cone) in 3mm diameter.
To be able to work with the printer, one needs to know how to calibrate and grease it. Roelke has given a hands-on workshop, but if you need more information you can also ask Roelke, Da Syntax or stuiterveer (stuiterveer currently primarily has knowledge about settings and calibration, for info on greasing please consult the others).
Donations
Please consider donating a small amount when using the 3D printer frequently so we can buy more filament and parts for the printers in order to keep using it. There's a small coin jar next to the printer in which you can put your donation.
The following people donated for the existence of the 3D printer in the first place, many thanks to them:
- Xopr:
€20.-€30.- - Prodigity:
€10.-€20.- - Da Syntax: €10.-
- PsychiC: €10.-
- Eagle00789: €10,-
Post your ideas on this on the discussion page.
